Kinder Choco Cereal Happiness

Everyday its a struggle for me to make my little one eat merienda. He would run away from me or hide, thats how hard it is. So, obviously he is very picky when it comes to food. So I always get a variety of food from the groceries for him to try and I discovered the Kinder Choco Cereal. So far this is his favorite snack! Everytime I give him this kinder Choco Cereal he would scream “yipee ya yo” I know he is happy when he shouts this line out! It is always paired with a smile and sometimes with a dance move! That’s how happy he is with his snack.

It is a nutritiously yummy snack with a combination of rich smooth milky cream, chocolate, and five types of crispy cereals-Rice, Barley, Wheat, Sorghum, and Millet which makes it creamy and crispy at the same time! It also comes with a spoon! Handy right?!

This is definitely a thumbs up for me no doubt about it! You might want to try it out and I bet your little one will love it too!

Check out hypermarkets and supermarkets nationwide, you’ll find Kinder Choco Cereal there! 😉

Mamas & Papas Sola City Stroller Review

I was able to know about Mamas & Papas by attending to their product launch. Listening to their presentation made me want to have my own Mamas & Papas stroller and luckily we now have one. We have the Sola City Blue sea.

When we got home, I started assembling it. It looks complicated to assemble but it’s actually NOT. It was easy and it only took me a few minutes.
Here are the features that I love about this stroller:
> You can customize the color of liner and hood of your choice.
> Big storage at the bottom.
> Adjustable handle (can cater to tall and small parents)
> Big Canopy that can protect our little one. This comes with a peek-a-boo window and a rain cover
>The front wheels can swivel and can be locked too.  The wheels can take on a bumpy terrain.
>Safety lock in the wheels
>You can recline the seat and can be forward facing or parent facing.
Now to the most important part of the review is our family experience with Sola City stroller.

The first time that we took it out was at the High Street, we wanted to try the stroller first before bringing it to our trip in US. When we arrived ,with no hesitation our son just sat on it and loved it! He stayed there the whole time.  When we returned to the parking lot, we tried to convince him to go down. He cried! This was the first time that he wanted to stay on the stroller. I was really amazed because we had a hard time to make him ride his previous stroller.
So yes, we decided to bring the stroller with us in our US trip.

Overall, we had no problem with the stroller. The ride was smooth and easy, the large storage helped a lot especially in shopping and our son’s diaper bag. When we go out, he rides his stroller and sleeps in it too (he slept for 3 hours max)  that’s how comfortable he is with this stroller. There are times that we have to change his diaper and we did it in his stroller because of the big comfortable space of the seat. I would highly recommend this to the mothers out there who are still looking for THE RIGHT stroller. We have a good experience with it and we honestly love this stroller!

Happy to say that this is a de la Cruz family tried and tested stroller!

Have a Mott’s Applelicous Day, Everyday!

Last Wednesday’s event was a success! I learned a lot of things from fun facts to reading labels! So here goes…

The event started with a delicious dish, beef kebab served with Mott’s apple juice drink, from Earth Kitchen BGC. The place was just perfect for this event, it was like an indoor garden.
After eating, the program started right away with interesting introduction & presentation from different speakers about Mott’s and the goodness that it brings in the family.
Congratulations to Ms. Janice Villanueva for being the first ambassador of Mott's

My First Bloggers Product Launch

Getting my first invitation for a product launch got me all giddy! I didn’t expect it! I was so happy I got an invitation!I immediately told my dear husband and of course being supportive, he congratulated me!

After awhile, I got hesitant because I didn’t know what’s going to happen in this event and I was not sure if I know anybody there. I kept on reading the invitation all over again. Since the invitation was about Mamas & Papas and the theme is Teamwork, I thought I had to bring Rio with me. I emailed and asked if I needed to bring him with me and they told me I don’t have to. I even brought pen and notebook with me just incase I needed it.

When I got to the event, I was so happy to see familiar faces! I felt comfortable and relief. Also, good thing I didn’t bring my husband with me because majority of the people there were mommies.

The place was impressively staged with beautiful centerpiece and of course showcasing the Mamas & Papas products.Mamas&PapasLuncheon-1

The program prepared was interactively fun and very informative. I enjoyed their games and our table even won the “Family Feud” game!

It felt really good that in this event I was able to talk about my motherhood experience with fellow mommies and asked questions about traveling with a baby/toddler etc. I learned a lot.

As for the food, it was delicious! I’m impressed, and will definitely eat there again.

Listening and learning about Mamas and Papas product made me want to buy their products because they are designed based on experience which is a good basis. Functionality and design is not compromised! Probably future baby # 2  you’ll have Mamas & Papas Stroller!!

                                                              Mamas&PapasLuncheon-40

At the end of the event, Mamas and Papas gave us this colorful pillow IPAD holder that is very good for traveling!  When I opened it, I was really happy because we usually travel a lot and It’s hard to hold the IPAD and the baby at the same time. When I got home I gave the IPAD holder to my son and he was happy, he played with it and then we placed the IPAD inside and watched some nursery rhymes. We LOVE it!

Breastfeeding

I’m happy that my sister got pregnant first simply because I was able to learn so many things about handling the baby and of course breastfeeding.

Before giving  birth, I was a bit scared that I might not have milk right away and that my baby will have to drink formula. I just had so many things in mind, I worried too much. I really wanted my baby to have all the benefits of breastfeeding and also the special bond/closeness that we get from breastfeeding.

As I gave birth to my little boy, the first latch was quite painful! My nipple got sore and very sensitive. There are times that I thought of stopping but I never gave in to that thought because I know breastfeeding is the best thing that I can give to my son and myself. I just have to endure the pain and go on. I know that eventually I’ll get used to it and I did! Days passed and the soreness began to subside until it was all gone! Woohoo, no more pain! However, after a few weeks I suddenly I felt another pain its not my nipple anymore but my breast! I experienced a swollen & lumpy breast I panicked I thought I developed a cyst. I immediately called my OB. She explained to me that this happens to most breastfeeding moms when they don’t empty their breast. There is just so many milk supply!  I followed her advise to massage my breast, apply hot compress and most importantly pump or feed the baby until emptied.I’m happy that it worked!

Another thing that I experienced is little milk supply?! Yes this happened to me too. Here are the things I tried:

I drank Malunggay capsule- worked!

Tried lactation massage too and it worked!

Lactation massage showed me the clogged ducts on my nipple and how to properly remove it and also how to hand express which is very important for me.

Experiencing all those things completes my motherhood experience! My son is now 15 months old and I’m still breastfeeding. Breastfeeding does not only nourish my baby but also work wonders for me. I truly believe that its the best and healthiest option for my baby.

I know that time will come for me to wean him off, it’ll be hard for him and for me too. I’m just happy that I breastfed him right 🙂

Do you have the same experience as mine? I hope you can share with me your breastfeeding experience too!

Being A Mom

I really thought I’m prepared for this. I thought its gonna be easy
but it’s not.  No amount of books & advice will prepare you for this
because your child is different from theirs. What is applicable to
them may not be applicable to you. It takes a lot of physical,
emotional and psychological challenge to be a mom. It’s a 180degree
change of your life.

First, there is sacrifice.
There will be a lot of things that you have to sacrifice when you
become a mom. This will include your time, lifestyle, sports or
hobbies. For me, I don’t get to do what I normally do like the sports
that I’m good at and the life that I used to have. It is totally
different now and I accepted it already.

Second, there will be questions.
Everything you do now is for the baby. There will be times that you
get to question yourself, am I losing my identity? Who am I becoming
now? Is this the new me?

Third, test of patience
This is something that got tested the most. The crying, the throwing
of things plus my tired body. Oh boy! It is really hard to have
control. There are times that you want to scream, cry and breakdown!
Hey , it’s alright! I tried it! After awhile you will be back to your
normal sane self again.

Fourth, LOVE
despite all of those crazy things happening to you, the LOVE that you
will experience is much more greater than those.

When your baby looks at you,

hugs you, kiss you or calls you MAMA.

It’s all worth it! We
love selflessly, we become stronger and tougher in this journey of
ours being a MOM!! It’s a 24 hour job.We don’t have vacation leave, we
don’t get to have time-outs, no sick leave and no salary but the
feeling of fulfillment is more rewarding. It might be hard but then
again IT’S WORTH IT! I am a mom and I won’t trade it for anything.

Got Engaged Got Married

We all wish for that fairytale love we see in the movies and I believe that we all have that too. It may not be that grandeur but it is there somewhere. You just have to open your eyes, feel, and let love in.

I know some of you have seen this but I just want to share it again.

Getting engaged to someone you love is the best feeling of all and what makes it more special is the effort that he did to make it more memorable and much more meaningful!

After the engagement of course comes the wedding preparation, it takes a lot of decision making from choosing the date, church, reception, theme the list goes on. Most of the couples end up fighting for the things they want in their wedding day but in my case. I never thought of what I wanted and that’s where my problem is. Rio’s just like “ I leave it all to you, I want you to be happy it’s your day” . Some girls will like that but I didn’t, I wanted it to be a day where people will see the details of the wedding that it is about “US”. When I explained this to Rio, he then realized that it is both OUR big day. He made time despite his busy schedule, he was hands on and to my surprise he was more meticulous than I was when it comes to details.

This is the beginning of my married life!
